Interlibrary Loan

The Miami Public Library Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service helps us connect you to the joy of reading and information for lifelong learning by allowing you to borrow items we do not own from other libraries nationwide.

  • Patrons must have a current MPL card with no attached fines.
  • Allow a minimum of 2 weeks from the time of submitting a request until receiving the material.
  • There will be a $2.00 charge for each item requested to pay a portion of the return shipping charges.
  • Fees for late items will be the same as MPL fees.
  • Fees for lost items will include replacement cost, any fees charged by lending library, or a $50 default fee.
  • Request forms are available at the front desk.
