People from all walks of life use library resources and services for a variety of reasons. People come to the library to attend classes to improve their health or to participate in a book discussion. They bring their children to the library for Lego League, S.T.E.A.M. classes, art classes or to participate in the Summer Reading Program. They come to perform routine and life-changing tasks, from emailing friends to finding jobs. The Miami Public Library offers free computer and Internet access, free wifi, free access to many databases that enable people to do such tasks as researching family genealogy on Heritage Quest, learning a new software program on Lynda.com, or downloading eBooks on OverDrive. We also provide links on our website to the best information for health sites, job search sites, government information sites and more. The library also offers a variety of books, magazines, DVDs, books on CD and much, much more!
As we prepare a strategic plan for the next three years, please provide us with your suggestions for making the Miami Public Library even better.
The survey will be available on our website at www.miamipl.okpls.org from Nov. 26-Dec. 21 and may be taken on:
- library computers
- personal laptops using free wifi at library
- any computer with Internet access
- tablets
- smart phones
- paper surveys will be available at the front desk
At the end of the survey, there will be an opportunity for Ottawa County residents or nonresidents who use our library to register for a drawing for one of six $25 gift cards.
I love that I can come in and check out movies and we can have meetings in a quiet place with no interruptions.
Thanks! We appreciate your feedback!
