Arts & Humanities 

The Mission of the Ottawa County Arts & Humanities Council is to promote, encourage, coordinate, and support high-quality programs in the arts and humanities for the benefit of the community.

Arts & Letters Club

Began 1929, Club Flower - Rose, Meeting Dates - September through May - Second Fridays at 1:00 pm and luncheons at noon. The object of this club shall be to study literature and fine arts, to encourage community interest, and to promote higher ideals of intellectual, social, and moral value.

Friends of the Coleman Theatre

The Friends of the Coleman is an organization established to promote the Coleman Theatre and assist in the renovations, repairs, maintenance, and improvements of the physical facilities. The organization was proposed in 1990, with its first by-laws adopted in August 1994.

Meetings - 4th Thursday of each month, 5:15 p.m. in the Coleman Ballroom.

Friends of Miami Public Library

The Friends of the Library publicly supports the Library and its policies. We also raise all funds to be spent exclusively for Library programs, services, and other designated Library needs. We encourage you to volunteer, get involved, donate, or join us and help us educate and enhance our community through reading and learning.

Ottawa County Family Connections Foundation

A non-profit foundation recognized by the state of Oklahoma that advocates and helps connect families of Autistic and Special needs individuals to local resources and other families within our own community. We also wish to bring in new resources that may be beneficial to our loved ones. We focus on bringing acceptance, awareness, education, support, and a brighter future to our County for all with special needs and their families.

Partners for Ottawa County, Inc.  (POCI)

The Partners for Ottawa County, Inc. (POCI) is a community coalition comprised of representatives from various agencies, organizations, businesses, civic groups, and governmental entities. It is through this network that POCI is not only able to identify the various needs within the county, but also able to harness the vast and diverse knowledge, experience and resources of its members to address and solve these issues. POCI provides the forum to unite members in a strong, dedicated alliance committed to accomplishing similar goals and objectives in order to improve the health and quality of life for the residents of Ottawa County.

When you join, you will help let us know what materials to order for the Teen Department, help plan events, and discuss important issues in our community. The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.

The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
