The Friends of the Library publicly supports the Library and its policies, we also raise all funds to be spent exclusively for Library programs, services and other designated Library needs. We encourage you to volunteer, get involved, donate or join us, and help us educate and enhance our community through reading and learning.

Stop Drop and Dolly: Share Your Family Reading Moments! 📚 We want to see your family's love for reading! Send us your favorite family reading photos, and you might be featured on our social media pages. Whether it's cozy bedtime stories or fun reading adventures, capture those special moments. By sharing your photos, you support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, a wonderful initiative by the Friends of the Miami Public Library. Together, we can inspire a love of reading in children and bring joy to families throughout our community. Join us in celebrating the magic of books! 📖✨ How to Participate: 1. We're thrilled to have several local businesses partnering with us to collect donations and encourage enrollments throughout this month. Please take a moment to thank the businesses participating in this initiative if you see them this month. They are playing a vital role in supporting literacy in our community. These are a few things you can do to help support: -TODAY, January 17th, Chapter's is generously donating 20% of all proceeds to the Imagination Library. Make sure to stop by! -Cortner Management is hosting a raffle for a washer and dryer set. Tickets are available for $10 each until January 31st. -Friends of the Library is offering a chance to win a Dolly Basket, also for $10 per ticket until January 31st. While you're at the library, don't forget to snap a photo at one of the photo stations and tag us on Facebook. We love seeing our community come together for a great cause!
Tomorrow Oklahoma libraries are celebrating Dolly Parton’s Birthday and there will be a big party at Miami Public Library!
