Summer Reading Program starts soon!
Join us this summer as we explore construction, art and science, while practicing cooperation in our effort to BUILD A BETTER WORLD. Kids will have an opportunity to challenge themselves during our programs as well as setting reading goals to earn prizes, coupons, and awards!
The Summer Reading Program begins June 5th with special programs for different age groups as follows:
Story Time for children 3-5 years on Mondays
Kid Time for children 6-8 years on Tuesdays
Family Day for children 3-99 years on Wednesdays
Tween Time for children 9-12 years on Thursdays

JUNE 7th, 10:00-11:00
Kevin Wade – Magician Kevin Wade returns to Miami Public Library June 7th as the first performer of SRP 2017. His creativity, ability to make people laugh and “magic touch” make him a yearly favorite.
JUNE 14th, 10:00-11:00
Bart Taylor (Gilcrease Children’s Museum) – We are excited to welcome historical character actor Bart Taylor. He is the director of children’s mobile programming for the Gilcrease Museum. His program will include artifacts, interaction and a “step back in time”.
JUNE 21ST, 4:00-5:00
OKC ZOO – The OKC Zoo Mobile always brings great fun and information! This year will be no exception! With great presenters and a variety of furry and feathered friends the zoo program is sure to be a hit with all ages.
JUNE 28TH, 10:00-11:00
Prof B Looney – This goofy professor can create anything out of balloons! He uses puppetry, balloons and magic in amazing ways to keep the audience thoroughly entertained!
JULY 5th, 10:00-11:00
Mad Science – Mad Science offers a science-centered show designed to amaze and entertain. Children learn science concepts as they witness spectacular experiments first hand.
JULY 12th, 10:00-11:00
Critter Tales – Critter Tales will “Bring the Wild to Life” in their live animal presentation. This program provides wildlife education up close. Children will be able to meet and touch animals native to Oklahoma.
This project is funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), a Federal source of Library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
