As part of the NEA Big Read grant, we are collecting personal stories of life in Ottawa County to compile into a book that will showcase the diverse voices and histories of our community. If you would like to contribute, you can submit a personal story about your life or experience in Ottawa County. If you need writing supplies for this project, you can stop by the library to pick up a FREE writing bag filled with a binder, paper, pencils, etc to get you started. While supplies last. Deliver your story to the library or email it to librarystaff@miamiokla.net. You can also record your stories and our staff will transcribe them for the book. You can submit your voice recording or schedule an appointment at the library and a staff member will record you. Stories must be submitted by April 30th, 2025. “NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
