  Fourth and fifth graders learned about Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keefe, and Vincent Van Gogh at the Miami Public Library during our Art in April program.  After learning each artist, children were given the opportunity to create their own works of art.  They used tissue paper to create collages, painted flowers on tiles at the Clay Station, and made oil pastel renditions of…

Our last annual book sale.

  The Friends of the Miami Public Library will hold their final annual book sale on Saturday, April 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 24th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Miami Civic Center.  Thousands of books will be available for as cheap as 3 for a $1.  While this is the final annual sale to be held at the…
